worked diligently with Leon, engaging him in special sessions with one

with other children. Ms. Patricia Husain, who has been Leon's special

with Beachbrook has been a positive, rewarding one! My daughter Sasha
Benjamin, has been a student since 2005. Sasha's progress has been a
triumphant and successful one. She came from uttering nothing to saying
a variety of words to full sentences. I will recommend Beachbrook to
anyone. The teachers are patient and well equipped to take care of
children with special needs. My only regret is that Sasha is graduating
from the Program in June 2007. When it comes to Beachbrook Nursery
School, you rest assured, because your child is in excellent and

been excellent with my son for the past 3 years. He has come a long

the best school to send your child to if they are struggling with
speech. I say that because my daughter Shamia attends Beachbrook for
one year and three months and her speech is improving dramatically. She
can spell her name, write numbers, and count to 31. She knows her
shapes and can spell cat. She knows how to dress herself, and button
her clothes, and she's improving in her potty training. To Whom It May

It was almost by accident that I discovered this relatively unknown educational haven conveniently located in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. was diagnosed with PDD July 2007 when he was 3. At the time, I was told
that my son will have to attend pre-school special education school. I
was devastated. Since this was the beginning of the Fall 07 school
year, I had to act fast. I decided to search the internet for a school.
The first school to appear was Beachbrook. I met with Joan, who is the
director, and she gave me an overview of the school. After
consideration, I decided to enroll my son in the school. When he first
attended the school he did not communicate with anyone. He did not make
eye contact or answer to his name. The only form of communication was
pointing his finger. It was heartbreaking to see this. Since I had
confidence in the school, I felt that he was going to get the best. His
father and I attended meetings and really understanding everything
Beachbrook had to offer. I remember calling daily because I was
nervous, but I had to realize that I had to give my son and school a
chance. This was the 2007-2008 school year. 2008-2009 is bittersweet because my son is
graduating from the school. I am really going to miss this school. It
seems like yesterday that I was looking around Beachbrook on the
internet. Well, my son is 4 (turning 5 this summer) and I have to say
that he is Kenneth's Mother Samad’s Mother My son Ryan will be graduating this year and he
has progressed tremendously since first starting Beachbrook. Thank you

hard to understand why he threw such frequent tantrums. Thanks to the
wonderful staff at Beachbrook and their hands on approach, there has
been a lot of improvement in my son’s behavior. The program structure

how to deal with them. My son graduates this year and it is very sad to

Beachbrook. At the same time I am excited to have Brandon going to

Mile's Parent ************ Whenever Beachbrook comes to my mind, I think of nothing but positive things to say. When my son first started school he couldn't speak as well as other kids his age, and had a few behavioral problems. As time passed I started to see a huge change in son. My son can now talk on the level of other kids his age, and I think even better. His behavior has improved as well. Beachbrook spent quality time with my son and helped him improve in all areas of their expertise. My son Jeffrey can have a conversation now with me unlike other kids his age. There is clarity in his words, and he can also repeat big words and form them into a sentence. He takes his time when he speaks and doesn't rush through it and mess up and start over like he used to. Jeffrey’s behavior was also an issue. He used to throw things and throw tantrums and now he's more calm and talks about his feelings instead of acting out. I am so happy I decided to send my son to Beachbrook. It was the best thing I could've ever done. I thank all the teachers and staff for making my son's time at Beachbrook nothing but pleasant and productive. Jeffrey wishes he could still stay in Beachbrook and so do I.
